Rehabilitation for the hand and upper limb
You experience so much of your world through your hands. Whether it’s your work, your sport, or the people or activities that matter most to you, we know that even small struggles can have a big impact on how you take care of yourself and connect with others. Therefore, our aim is to help your hands function in a way that lets you get back to giving your best to whatever it is you love.
As hand therapists, we’re focused solely on treating injuries and conditions of the hand and upper limb. With over 25 years combined hand therapy experience, and a genuine passion for helping people, we formed The Hand Therapy Group to provide superior, accessible hand therapy to the community. We have three family-friendly Auckland hand therapy clinics - Airport Oaks, Glenfield and The Doctors Middlemore. You do not need a referral to make an appointment with us.
How does hand therapy work?
Hand Therapists are registered Physiotherapists or Occupational Therapists who have undergone additional training specific to hand therapy. This means our team have the expertise and experience to help you treat and rehabilitate injury, disease and congenital conditions of your hand, wrist, forearm or elbow.
Because each patient and injury is unique, so are our treatment plans. It may be that you’ve recently had surgery, injured yourself playing sport, at work, at play, or simply doing a daily task, or you’re suffering from arthritis or another degenerative condition. Whatever your challenge, we’ll use advanced yet gentle techniques and exercises completely tailored to helping you get back your quality of life.
