Joanna Liu

Associate Hand therapist

I thrive on seeing my patients achieve their health goals, whether it’s recovering from an injury, managing a chronic condition or enhancing their overall physical fitness or independence. Through empathy, support and compassionate care throughout the rehabilitation journey, it’s important to me to help patients foster a positive mindset towards their recovery.

A big part of this is about educating my patients about their condition and the self-care strategies that can provide them with a sense of control and confidence in managing their own wellbeing. This encourages active participation in their rehabilitation so they can get back to enjoying the activities of daily living, sooner.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science (Occupational Therapy) from AUT University in 2017 with a postgraduate certificate in rehabilitation, and also hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Psychology and Biological Sciences). I am a fluent Cantonese speaker and can understand Mandarin.

I have a particular interest in rehabilitation after hand surgeries, managing hand injuries or addressing conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome. I’m here to make a positive impact on your journey to better health and independence!
