Prerit Botadra

registered Hand therapist

I know that a hand therapy clinic isn’t usually the place you want to find yourself - but, when you do, you want to know that your therapist is just as invested in your recovery as you are. With a particular interest and expertise in helping people with chronic pain, I’m committed to getting to the bottom of complex pain and injuries for my clients.

I graduated from AUT with a Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy) in 2007, later completing a Post Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation, focusing on hand therapy and pain. Throughout my physiotherapy career, I’ve worked within different facets of healthcare, including emergency care, intensive care, orthopaedics and paediatrics, which has given me a broad perspective on treatment and injury management. I speak English, Hindi and Gujarati, and am respectful of the healthcare expectations of different cultures.

As someone who loves watching and playing sports, I can appreciate how important it is for people to overcome injury and get back in the game - whether it’s just for fun or something a little more serious. And as someone with a family who simply enjoys being able to get outdoors, to the beach, out the garden or into some DIY, I also appreciate that you may also just want to get back to doing the things you love. No matter what has brought you here, my focus is on helping you improve movement and strength, and support you through your rehabilitation journey back to a full and functional life.
